The Road to Arizona

I actually had this idea a few days before, of a team bus leaving snow covered Wisconsin headed  to Superbowl XLII in Arizona, and the losing team’s quarterback standing by the side of the road, trying to hitch a ride only to have snow from the bus blown all over him.  The sunrise was also an homage to the Arizona state flag.

The only thing that I didn’t know was what bus it would be and who the hitchhiker would be - I was truly prepared to draw Eli, but watching the game I just felt something, knew that somehow the Giants were going to win.  The snow on Brett Farve turned out really good and I avoided having to really get a caricature down because of it, though the snow banks along the road and plume from the plow I couldn’t get down exactly right.  The “Ya Gotta Believe!” slogan was a nice homage to the Mets (it is SNY after all) that I felt the Giants could co-opt right now.
