Now Leaving Long Island
Since the Jets are moving their practice field from Hofstra back to New Jersey, today marks the final day Gang Green will ever be on Long Island.
I’m really proud of this one as it adhered very much to my vision of a cartoony bus bouncing along on a road toward one of the outer-bridges. It really does look like the bus has some air-time doesn’t it?
I based the bridge design off the Throgs Neck bridge though since it does, in fact, leave Long Island.). The “Now Leaving Long Island” sign was originally hand-written, but I chose to type it up because of my handwriting. I also figured out how to properly skew the text for some perspective. The lights on top of the suspension towers were a last minute addition.
